Meet Our Founder
MICHAEL
PUENTE
Michael Puente is the founder of Strong & Courageous Consulting. After over 20 years in law enforcement he created S&C Consulting to bring all of his training and experience, and his partners’ expertise, to law enforcement and the corporate world.
Michael is the author and creator of the “7 Foundational Principles of Law Enforcement”. These “7 Principles” are currently the foundation for all brand new recruits for the entire state of Arizona. The success of the program is now being taught to first line supervisors and executive leadership around the state of Arizona. This work has been presented to a global audience and he is currently fielding requests for the presentation around the U.S. and globally. The “7 Foundational Principles for Law Enforcement” book should be released in 2024 with several other versions being written for the corporate world in coming years.
Michael has extensive experience in guest speaking and instruction around the country on numerous topics and is certified in multiple disciplines. He is currently the top Defensive Tactics expert for the State of Arizona and is currently part of a team that has created all of the curriculum for law enforcement basic training. He holds certifications in Defensive Tactics, Firearms, Physical Fitness, High Risk Vehicle Stops, Sniper Instructor, Advanced Sniper Instructor, Aerial Platform Instructor, Dignitary Protection, and Stress Management for First Responders. Michael has experience as a SWAT Operator, Sniper Team Leader, Dignitary and Executive Protection, Fugitive Apprehension, Recruit Training Officer, and Basic Training Sergeant, and Women’s Self Defense.
He is also an assistant coach for one of the top high school girls prep basketball teams in the country, Dream City Christian Girls Hoops. He is a passionate and motivational coach and strives to help these young women achieve their goal of playing basketball in college. Furthermore, he strives to teach them how to be great young women to impact the world.
